Lecture and practical seminar on early childhood intervention

Friday 30th of September from 13:00 to 15:30: Lecture on early childhood intervention with a focus on games as a tool for diagnosis and intervention in early childhood and practical seminar will take place at the Scientific Institute of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Art of the University of Latvia, Jurmalas gatve 76, room G13, by Spanish lecturer Dr. Víctor del Toro Alonso, professor at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid.

The lecture and practical seminar will be organised in the frame of the interuniversity Master program “Educational Treatment of Diversity”. After a short introduction about the project Inclusion Training in Intellectual Disability for Educators in Europe (ITIDE project), the lecture on Early Childhood Intervention programs will focus on Games as a tool for diagnosis and intervention in early childhood. The lector will guide us in the theoretical and practical understanding of:
  1. Early childhood care in preschool education: diagnosis and intervention
  2. Games as a tool for diagnosis and intervention in early childhood.
  3. The work of the Early Care Team of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in preschool education and nursery school.
Participants will have the opportunity to join the virtual campus on Early childhood of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid created by prof. Víctor del Toro Alonso. The lecture will be in English.
